Sloppy Joes with Creamy Cole Slaw

Ingredients  for  Sloppy  Joes

1 1/2 lb (675 g)  vegetarian ground crumble
1 onion, finely chopped
1 small  yellow bell pepper, cored and finely chopped
1 tablespoon (15 ml) chili powder
1 teaspoon (5 ml) dry mustard
2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) tomato paste
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 cup (250 ml) vegetable  broth
1/2 cup (125 ml) chili sauce
2 tablespoons (30 ml) vinegar
2 tablespoons (30 ml) brown sugar
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper
4 large  buns

Directions:

In a large skillet, brown the  crumble, onion, bell pepper and spices in the oil. Season with salt and pepper. Add the tomato paste and garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring constantly. Add the remaining ingredients except the buns  and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes. Adjust the seasoning.

 Ingredients for  Creamy Cole Slaw:

1  small head green cabbage, finely shredded
2 large carrots, finely shredded
3/4 cup best-quality mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons grated Spanish onion
2 tablespoons sugar  to taste
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons celery salt
Salt and freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Combine the shredded cabbage and carrots in a large bowl. Whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, sugar, vinegar, mustard, celery salt, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl, and then add to the cabbage mixture. Mix well to combine and taste for seasoning; add more salt, pepper, or sugar if desired.
